Oil, gas & industrial services
Gaia represents some of the world's finest brands in the region and provides a One Stop Shop solution across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, automation, pipeline and safety supply for the oil & gas and associated industries.
Gaia is the oldest name for the earth itself, and everything this group does begins with what the earth gives. From Baku, Gaia operates as a holding across five segments: oil and gas, offshore and marine, hospitality, travel, and plant-based wellbeing.
The group is built to grow. We look for opportunities wherever the sector is moving — in energy and industry, in hospitality and tourism, and in herbal science. On the industrial side that spans oil and gas across upstream, midstream and downstream: refineries, petrochemical plants, pipelines, gas booster and compressor stations, power generation, and offshore and marine work across the Caspian basin.
Each runs with its own team. What they share is where they operate and the standard they are held to.

Site in preparation

Plant-based preparations, developed from India.
One in-country interface — from first enquiry through to warranty response. Held in-house where we hold it, contracted in under our management where we do not.
Coded welders, fitters, riggers, machinists, electricians and instrument technicians. QA/QC engineers, welding and NDT inspectors, HSE officers, supervisors and site management. Visa sponsorship, work permits, accommodation, transport, payroll and local employment compliance.
Our strongest position in the region. We supply coded welders qualified on carbon steel, stainless, duplex and nickel alloys, pipe and structural fitters, mechanical fitters, riggers and banksmen, scaffolders, machinists, electricians and instrument technicians. On the technical and supervisory side: site managers and construction supervisors, mechanical, piping, structural and E&I supervisors, planners, document controllers, materials and warehouse controllers, commissioning technicians. Quality and inspection covers QA and QC engineers, welding inspectors, NDT technicians across radiography, ultrasonic, dye penetrant, magnetic particle and phased array, and coating and dimensional inspectors. HSE officers, permit-to-work coordinators, confined space and working-at-height attendants, medical cover and site security. Around the people we handle recruitment and screening, verification of trade certification, visa sponsorship and work permits for expatriate personnel, accommodation, messing and transport, payroll, statutory contributions and local employment compliance, and demobilisation. Personnel can be supplied on day rate, monthly rate or lump sum, either as an integrated crew under our supervision or as individuals reporting to your own site management.
Movement from works to site over the North–South corridor or the Türkiye and Black Sea route. Route surveys, permits and escorts for over-dimensional cargo. Port handling at Baku and Alat, customs clearance, duty and VAT, bonded storage.
There is no direct sea route into the Caspian, so getting equipment here is a discipline in itself. We move cargo from works to site over the North–South corridor or through Türkiye and the Black Sea with onward inland carriage, and we will tell you honestly which route suits the consignment. For over-dimensional items we carry out route surveys, swept-path and bridge and axle-load assessments, obtain permits and arrange escorts. At the coast we handle stevedoring at Baku and Alat, ro-ro and lo-lo coordination, port agency and berth arrangement, discharge supervision and damage survey. Customs work covers import clearance and brokerage, classification, duty and VAT determination, certificates of origin, temporary import and re-export regimes for construction plant and tools, and bonded warehousing. Onward distribution runs into Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan with the transit documentation handled. Marine cargo and erection all-risks cover can be arranged, with claims and survey support.
Mobile, all-terrain and crawler cranes; modular multi-axle trailers and SPMTs; excavators, loaders and earthmoving plant; temporary power, welding plant and site utilities. Certified rigging, lift planning and appointed-person services.
Mobile, all-terrain and crawler cranes across a broad capacity range, telehandlers and forklifts, gantries, jacking and skidding systems, certified rigging and lifting gear with current test certification, lift planning and appointed-person services. For groundworks and foundations: excavators, backhoe and wheel loaders, bulldozers, graders, compactors, rollers, dump trucks and piling plant. Transport includes flatbed and low-bed trailers, extendable and modular multi-axle trailers and self-propelled modular transporters for outsize items. Temporary power and utilities — generators, welding plant, compressors, lighting towers, dewatering pumps, site accommodation and welfare units.
Yard, workshop and laydown access arranged against a defined scope. Cutting, rolling, welding and structural fabrication, blasting and painting, machining, pipe spooling, module pre-assembly, pressure testing support, site workshops and remedial work.
Fabrication, workshop and laydown facilities in the Baku and Alat area are arranged against a defined scope and sized to the work in question. We do not claim standing capacity of our own; the facility is identified, its specification and certification confirmed, and offered for your inspection before anything is committed. Workshop scope covers cutting, rolling, welding and structural fabrication, blasting and painting, machining, pipe spooling, module assembly and pre-assembly, hydro and pressure testing support, and PWHT through qualified local providers. At site we can establish a temporary workshop for fabrication, modification and remedial work during installation and commissioning. Open and covered storage, bonded and non-bonded warehousing, preservation and inventory management for equipment awaiting installation.
Eligibility here is established months before an enquiry is issued. We build and maintain the prequalification dossier — translation, notarisation, legalisation, portal submissions, audit hosting — and register you with the owners, EPC contractors and state buyers that matter.
Eligibility in this region is established months before an enquiry is issued, not during it. Most significant packages go out to a pre-approved vendor list; a company not on that list when the enquiry is released never sees it, however good it is technically. We build the prequalification dossier once and properly — corporate and legal documents, financial statements, quality and code certification, technical and capacity statements, experience records, HSE and compliance policies — with translation into Azerbaijani and Russian, notarisation, apostille and legalisation. We submit it, follow it up with the category managers who actually decide, host shop audits and keep the document set current through renewal cycles. Registration is handled with SOCAR group entities, the state procurement portal, bp-operated joint ventures, operating companies such as Absheron JOC, ASCO and Baku Shipyard, industrial park residents, and regional owners in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. At bid stage we screen enquiries, manage clarifications, prepare the local content, logistics, installation and after-sales elements of the submission, and coordinate bid bonds and guarantees with Azerbaijani banks. Where a tender requires a local counterparty, we are registered here and can contract, invoice and hold obligations in-country.
Receipt and inspection at site, setting and alignment, mechanical and piping installation, erection supervision, hydro-testing and punch listing. Local first response during warranty, spare parts holding and scheduled maintenance support.
Site establishment, temporary facilities, welfare, camp and catering, security, waste management and environmental compliance. Receipt and inspection of equipment at site, setting and alignment, mechanical installation, piping and structural connection, and erection supervision by qualified personnel. Hydro and pressure testing, flushing and cleaning, punch listing and mechanical completion, and support to your own or third-party commissioning teams. After handover we provide local first response during the warranty period, fault attendance and remedial works, coordination with your technical team, spare parts holding and local stocking, and scheduled maintenance and inspection support. The ability to respond within days rather than weeks is a scored criterion in tenders here, and it is one of the main reasons foreign suppliers work with a local partner.
Equipment categories we supply
We represent established international manufacturers across these categories, and we are open to further principals seeking a route into the Caspian and Central Asian markets. Current representation details are provided on request.
Offshore and marine scopes are delivered through Astera Khazar LLC, the group's offshore and marine arm in Baku — vessel chartering and agency, offshore logistics, port agency, barges and tugs, newbuild supervision and marine crewing.
Baku is the base. The relationships run east across the Caspian and through Central Asia, built over three decades of trading, supply and project work in these markets.

Access at government level is what distinguishes a local partner from a local address. Across Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan we hold long-standing relationships with national oil companies, PSA operators, ministries and procurement bodies, developed over thirty years of working in these markets.
We can get you registered and prequalified with the organisations that issue the enquiries.
We can represent you here as your local counterparty — contracting, invoicing and carrying obligations in-country.
We can put a team on the ground for upstream, midstream and downstream scopes — pipeline projects, refinery rehabilitation, rotating equipment, plant and process work — prepare the offer with you and support it locally through execution and warranty.
Manufacturers and service companies who want the Caspian and Central Asian market covered properly, by a partner already inside it. Tell us the product and the target buyers and we will tell you honestly what it will take.
Gaia is built on a business our chief executive founded and ran — ACECO, Asia Caspian Engineering Co., established in Dubai in 2003 to serve the Caspian region. It became a service and supply solution provider across the CIS oil and gas industry, representing international mills and principals. The company is inactive today; the record is ours and Gaia continues in the same fashion.
Our chief executive has spent more than thirty years selling, supplying and executing in the CIS — oil and gas, offshore and marine support, procurement, hydraulics and industrial supply. He founded ACECO in 2003 and has held senior regional roles with international offshore contractors including Selective Marine Services and Ezion / Teras Offshore.

Where a scope needs manufacturing capacity, yard facilities or manpower pools that the region cannot supply, we bring them in through established partners.
Integrated offshore and marine solutions across four platforms: vessel, crew and technical management, catering, procurement and HSEQA; projects and operations management covering newbuilds, EPCC, transport and installation, engineering solutions and asset lifecycle management; shipping services and logistics; and chartering and commercial management.
Licensed ship management company (RPSL-MUM-309), headquartered in Goa. Newbuilding, drydocking, repairs and conversions; crew manning across some fifteen vessels; technical management, ship inspection and survey, consultancy, and special projects including oversized cargo and complex marine logistics.
The track records above belong to those partner organisations and are shown as capability available to Gaia's clients, not as work performed by Gaia itself.
International owners and contractors entering this region meet the same constraints every time.
Gaia exists to remove those constraints — as the counterparty in-country, with the regional relationships to source what the market itself cannot supply.
